I m not sure if this is the correct subreddit to pose the question but i figured asking in r vinyl would only give me biased answers. Why do people still buy vinyl records. What surprised me is the amount of versions of the same albums there are now and ultimately the different monetary value of essentially the same material. You are an audiophile and fetishize the sound of analog recordings or you simply like the aesthetics of vinyl records packaging.

I love them as objects. Why should i buy vinyl. This got me wondering why do people buy vinyl. So i recently got back into vinyl and have been re buying all my favorite artists albums on vinyl.

I love the way they sound. Exactly and it s far easier to find and add a song or album to a playlist than it is to go out and find a vinyl you re looking for and then also buy it. I love records but they re also the bane of my fucking life. Some sensible most not.
